Raine requests each of his men to bring him the scalp of at least 100 Nazis apiece. He has his own method of ensuring that those Nazis he does allow or need to let go free are scarred for life. In Paris in 1944, Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi"s chief propaganda master and filmmaker, plans to debut his latest film, "Nation"s Pride". The film, based on the victorious military exploits of Private Fredrick Zoller, stars Zoller as himself. Because of his attraction to its pretty proprietress Emmanuelle Mimieux, Zoller convinces Goebbels and the Nazi brass to hold the premiere at Mimieux"s cinema. Landa is to act as chief of security for the event. When the Americans get wind of the screening and the fact that most of the Nazi highers-up will be in attendance, Raine"s team is tasked with blowing up the cinema during the screening. They are assisted by renowned German actress, Bridget von Hammersmark, who has been working as a spy for the British. They believe luck is on their side when they learn that Hitler himself is scheduled to attend. Beyond being found out, Raine"s team face two as of yet unknown issues. The first is Mimieux, who is really Shoshanna Dreyfus, a Jew who saw her family brutally murdered by Landa four years earlier, and who may have her own plans for Landa and the Nazis. The second is Landa, who beyond his up front mission, has another more personal mission for his life post-war unknown to anyone but himself

My favorite actor, his voice is so mesmerizing. I hope he wins another Oscar for Spectre. Always felt she got what she deserved in the end. Willy is totally a loose end and she was smart to put a bullet in him to keep him from talking. The trailer that defined the meme. This is the most satisfying and well executed ending ive ever seen. I just keep smiling everytime I see this. Fun Fact: I think that music when Landa arrives was also used in the movie The Entity. Back when the Weinstein name was a positive thing. I love the way Donny responded. You expect it to be a solid deep voice but then its just a ”yeah?”.

0:13 I knew Bear Grylls wad a nazi. Satisfying. Landa got what he deserved. I like when the great music starts picking up at 3:25. It fits the scene perfectly. I love how she"s annoyed with zoller until he leaves. You can see it in her face she wanted him to stay. I love the Lt. resolve. He refused the let the Col. forget his involvement in the atrocities carried out by the Germans in WW2. Christoph Waltz at 2010 as Col. Hans Landa and Heath Ledger at 2009 as Joker. For me, these are the 2 most deserved Oscars in a supporting role of all ages. All the way down, sir. Everything about that, from the words, to their context, to the way it"s delivered is just. cool. I don"t think it can be topped.

When he"s eating the strudel that"s ASMR for me. I dont blame you. Damm good deal. I watched it yesterday and (not really a surprise there) it"s really a great movie. the trailer promised a little more action than the actual film delivered, but thats OK. (kill bill 2 didn"t have a lot of action and it worked just fine.) but i"d like to point out one aspect of the movie that really amazed me. being swiss, i"m very sensitive when it comes to German or French in American movies. i"m used to hearing awfully pronounced German lines in big Hollywood productions. i always say to myself come on, seriously? you couldn"t afford a decent vocal coach, or do you simply give a f. inglorious basterds is loaded with German and French and it sounds wonderful. what a pleasure! Quentin t, thank you for choosing German actors and by doing so making the movie a lot more authentic! he even jokes about the language problems by having brad Pitt killing the Italian word "grazie. hilarious! well, thats what i wanted to add to the (probably) hundreds of comments already existing. No need to point out the other good qualities of the movie, i"m sure thats already covers a dozens of times.

Why emphasis on the cream? Does it have something to do with it not being kosher and she is a Jew. God i love Eli Roth in this scene, so damn good. The best part is you know Landa knows why he"s asking if he"s going to take off his uniform he"s heard the survivor stories he knows whats coming. He dies for his men. What a honor. Tarantino can make me crave everything he puts in scenes like this. Ryan the temp has come a long way. And I want My scalpes. This reminds me of Millers crossing.

 

Im glad Tarantino included this scene. You surely wouldnt see that in Spielberg"s film. Thats sad. Pretty sure he"s done this for other films, get people to say hello Sally! Bet she laughed all the time alone, up late hours editing footage. Rest in peace. Everytime Christoph talks i feel tired for him. Some people liked Inglourious Basterds (like myself) some didn"t, but everybody liked Christopher Waltz as Landa. By the way - that"s acting, people. Some of those super famous actors are capable of acting out some emotions pretty dar well, have a couple of great scenes in most of their movies, but acting is when every seccond of your performance is commited to that character - every tiny facial expression, posture, every seccond of your voice. That"s what I saw in Inglourious Basterds and Christoph Waltz seems to aim for this every movie.
